Volunteers recognised by Queen

St John volunteers in action

Dedicated St John Ambulance volunteers have been recognised for their efforts by The Queen in her birthday honours.

The awards given vary dependent on the different contributions people make, but are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference to their community.

Recipients from St John include:

  • Madeleine Pearce, Hertfordshire MBE
  • Joan Radcliffe, Isle of Man, MBE
  • Dr John Richard Shortland, County Commander, South and West Yorkshire, OBE

Our volunteers work hard all over the country making a difference in their local communities and it is fantastic that their dedication and commitment has been acknowledged.
