The nation's transport services may have been brought to a standstill, but St John Ambulance continues to be the difference during this latest spell of bad weather.
Bringing Antony Home for Christmas

St John Ambulance in Nottinghamshire is using its extensive experience in ambulance services to help bring Antony Giles from Stapleford, who was seriously injured in a road accident in Thailand last month, home to Nottinghamshire in time for Christmas.
Winter first aid tips
The Met Office has issued weather warnings for widespread ice as Arctic conditions hit the UK. During this time there may be delays to the regular ambulance service but St John Ambulance volunteers are on standby, ready to respond.
Young people recognised
On 9 December, close to 75 young St John Ambulance members were honoured at Buckingham Palace at the Young Achievers' Reception.
