How we can work together

St John Ambulance offers many exciting and worthwhile opportunities for charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies.

Over the course of this year, we will be fundraising for the following projects:

Community Advocate Programme

The Community Advocate programme will recruit, train and mobilise 740 volunteers in England. They raise awareness of first aid in their communities, giving first aid training to vulnerable groups. By year five, we aim to have 960 Community Advocates in place.

This programme will target six priority groups, as outlined by the World Health Organisation (WHO):

  • young people
  • those living in deprived areas
  • those living in rural and urban areas
  • carers
  • vulnerable people (such as those that are homeless or at risk of homelessness),
  • older people.

In June 2017, we received £249,993 from The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Nesta to support the Community Advocate Programme. Read more.
