London Summer Walk

Explore some of the Capital’s less known historic areas

22 August 2026

Distance: 10km or 25km

Price: Starting from £30

Two people with their arms in the air walking across a field with lots of tall flags and other people standing around. Another person is in front of them wearing a blue hi-vis vest with 'Cheer squad' on the back of it.

Get your walking shoes on and explore some of the Capital’s less known historic areas with a tour of the ‘gateway to London’ along the Thames’s eastern section– and fundraise to help support our life-saving work.

Starting alongside the grandeur of Woolwich Barracks (short walk from Elizabeth Line, DLR, and the Overground) – there’s a marathon looped route, which heads into the heart of the Capital – alongside a 25km option taking in Greenwich, and a 10km option if you’re after something a bit shorter.

Routes steeped in history with iconic sights, a lively warm up, full support all the way, rest stops with snacks and drinks, and capped with a BBQ meal, bar and music at the finish, making for a wonderful active end of summer celebration!

A large crowd of people outside all with their hands on their hips facing an instructor. There are lots of flags in the background, a large tent, and an archway saying 'Start' on it.
