Badger uniform

Badgers attending sett meetings wear:

  • A St John Ambulance polo shirt
  • A St John Ambulance sweatshirt
  • Baseball cap (optional)

Badgers should wear their uniform with black trousers with black socks and black shoes, or a black skirt with white socks or black tights and black shoes.

Badgers wear their full uniform for parades, community events, competitions, and other formal activities.

Cadet uniform

All Cadets are provided with the following uniform:

  • A St John Ambulance polo shirt
  • A brassard for their badges

Cadets should wear this uniform with black trousers, socks and shoes.

Once a cadet has completed their Cadet Operational First Aid course, they will be provided the following uniform, which mirrors that of our adult volunteers:

  • A St John Ambulance green SDU shirt
  • St John Ambulance Combat trousers
  • A St John Ambulance Gilet
  • A St John Ambulance Soft Shell Jacket
  • A St John Ambulance Hi-vis coat
  • A St John Ambulance Belt
  • A St John Ambulance Baseball cap
  • A St John Ambulance Beanie
  • A brassard for their badges
  • Black rank slides

Cadets should wear this uniform with black socks and shoes.

Where can I get the uniform?

Badger uniform

Once the joining process has been completed, your Unit Manager will be able to provide details on how to purchase uniform direct from our supplier.

If you are concerned about the cost of uniform, please speak to your Unit Manager as we may be able to offer financial assistance where needed. To learn more about this, please read our information for parents and carers.

Cadet Uniform

All Cadet uniform is provided free of charge by St John Ambulance.

Once the joining process has been complete, your Unit Manager will be able to order your polo shirt and brassard.

Cadets who have completed their Cadet Operational First Aid course will be provided with details on how to order their additional items of uniform.
