Lois: It was around 9pm on 23 December 2025. I was in the living room in my pyjamas.
I was checking all the kids' stuff to make sure we were ready to go to my mum's because we usually spend Christmas with the family. Keva and my two-year-old son were upstairs.
It was all a bit sudden. I felt a severe pain in my head and I shouted for Keva.
Keva says I told her I was going to have a seizure. I don’t remember saying that and I don’t even know why I did because I’ve never had a seizure before.
It was a sharp stabbing pain which is the way my migraines normally start but something must have been different. I don't even remember falling to the floor.
She actually phoned 911 not 999 because everything’s so Americanised now and that’s the emergency number you see all the time on things like TikTok and YouTube. She explained the situation and they put the phone down. Then the North West Ambulance Service called her.
It was recorded on the audio of the camera we have to keep an eye on my car. You can hear how calm Keva was until the ambulance crew arrived.
You can hear on the camera that one of the paramedics says to the other, “She’s stopped breathing.”
They took me to the ambulance then the blue lights went on, and they rushed me to hospital. I stayed overnight and got home in the early hours of the morning.
Lois has since suffered multiple seizures and relies on Keva’s first aid skill to keep her safe, monitor her and call an ambulance if needed.
