Lifesavers at Work Awards 2026: Terms & Conditions

  1. The Lifesavers at Work Awards (the "Awards") are operated by ST JOHN AMBULANCE, a company limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales (company number 03866129) and a charity registered (Charity registration number 1077265/1) whose Registered Office is at St John’s Gate, St John’s Lane, London, EC1M 4DA ("SJA", "we", "us").

  2. Entry is free and open to individuals aged 16 or over. Both nominators and nominees must be aged 16 or over. Entry is not open to SJA employees directly involved in administering or judging the Awards, or their immediate families.

  3. Nominations must be submitted via the official online form by 11.59pm on Friday 4 September 2026. Entries received after this time will not be considered. SJA accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, delayed or not received for technical or other reasons.

  4. The incident described in the nomination must have taken place within the five years preceding the closing date.

  5. For company award categories (Leaders in Workplace First Aid, Leaders in Workplace Health & Wellbeing), nominated organisations must have received training from St John Ambulance.

    1. 5.1 For individual award categories (Workplace Hero, Community Hero), nominees must have received first aid or mental health first aid training from a recognised provider prior to the incident. Training delivered by St John Ambulance is not required for these categories.

  6. All information submitted must be true and accurate to the best of the nominator's knowledge. SJA reserves the right to verify any nomination and to disqualify entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or in breach of these terms.

  7. By entering, nominators confirm they have a reasonable basis to believe the nominee consents to being nominated and contacted in connection with the Awards.

  8. Nominations will be assessed by a judging panel appointed by SJA. SJA reserves the right to reject any nomination that, in its reasonable opinion, may bring SJA or the Awards into disrepute. SJA reserves the right to move a nomination to a more appropriate category, to combine or withdraw categories if insufficient eligible entries are received, and to amend the Awards timetable where reasonably necessary.

  9. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by email using the contact details provided. If a finalist or nominee cannot be reached after reasonable attempts within Fourteen (14) days, SJA reserves the right to remove the entry from the shortlist.

  10. Finalists and their nominators may be invited to attend the awards ceremony in London in November 2026.

  11. Publicity participation will be discussed and agreed with winners in advance and, where required, consent will be obtained before publication of personal stories, photographs or other personal information Personal data submitted will be processed by SJA in accordance with UK data protection law and SJA's Privacy Policy and used for the purposes of administering the Awards.

  12. No cash or alternative prizes are available. Awards are non-transferable.

  13. SJA shall not be liable for any loss, damage, costs or expenses suffered or incurred by any entrant, nominee, finalist or winner arising out of or in connection with participation in the Awards, including any cancellation, suspension, amendment or postponement of the Awards.

  14. SJA reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the Awards where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

  15. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
