About the Role

42 Hours per week (12 hour shifts, 4 Nights on, 4 off, 4 nights on)

Do you want to make a difference and be part of organisation that has been helping save lives for over a century?  Our Urgent Care Mobile Responders are responsible for the provision of high quality and effective clinical care to the community. You will be responding to a wide range of situations including fall response calls, minor injuries and other allocated operational activities commensurate with your role. 

St John Ambulance aspires to continuously improve its sustainability. You will drive our new Kia e-Niro which offers zero-emission, under non-emergency conditions as required.  As Mobile Responder at St John Ambulance, you will attend to patients and service users within our care in accordance with policies and procedures. You will provide treatment and care up to your agreed clinical scope of practice and customer requirement.

About you: 

·       Experience preferred but not necessary, training can be provided 

·       Full UK manual Licence  

·       Can work effectively under pressure 

·       Caring and considerate 

 About the Role: 

·       Mobilise to, assess and attend to patients and service users 

·       Accurately complete all documentation relating to patients, vehicles and equipment and submitted in accordance with policies and procedures 

·       Provide treatment and care up to the post-holder’s agreed clinical scope of practice and customer requirements 

·       Take relevant information at the scene, reporting to healthcare professional, hospitals or others as required whilst ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained 

·       Participate in regular continuing professional development in relation to the role
