St John is investing in its digital assets with a transformational roadmap and a wide portfolio of change programmes.  This is a key role within the digital & intelligence team, the successful candidate will act as the business partner leading the portfolio management of all change programmes across St John, managing the initiation process for the new large scale projects and building internal capability in programme management.

The Planning and Performance Business Partners are responsible for supporting the execution of the overall strategic plan, through effective oversight of delivery, support and guidance to those managing key agile projects and proactive problem-solving.

About You:

  • Prince 2 Foundation or any other recognised project management qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex large projects from concept through to operational use
  • Experience of digital strategy
  • Experience of working in structured project teams following defined governance standards relating to project planning, resource management, RAID management, etc.
  • Evidence of excellent stakeholder management at a variety of levels
  • Extensive implementation, change management and benefit realisation experience

About the Role:

  • Support key areas of the charity in the collaborative, dynamic planning process, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
  • Assist functional departments in the development of business plans, business change requests, business cases and option papers in support of business changes
  • Recommend project management approaches for key strands of work. Offer advice and guidance in areas such as Project Management/Work Stream Methodologies
  • Gain and maintain an active understanding of the business and technology strategies and direction
  • Form and manage effective relationships with key business stakeholders
