Excellent opportunity to work at the magnificent Gatehouse and the Priory Church in Clerkenwell, which provides exquisite opportunities for private events, weddings, filming and conferences.

The Events & Partnerships Lead looks after the smooth operation of commercial events at the site, ensuring impeccable client care, liaison with suppliers, after-sales service, diary management, logistics organisation  and careful stewardship of the Grade I listed historic buildings.  You will support the Business Development Manager to continuously improve and expand the venue hire business, as St John looks to maximise the commercial potential of the site in support of the charity’s objectives.

This role is a fixed term contract for 9 months.

About you:

  • Highly motivated experienced Events professional, with strong business acumen, creative flair and meticulous attention to detail
  • Looking for an opportunity to shape and grow a promising commercial offering and make a vital contribution to safe-guarding and celebrating the heritage in our care
  • Be able to work full-time and be within easy traveling distance of central London and able to work evening and weekends

About the Role:

  • Respond to enqueries regarding venue hire, providing an exceptional service to both our internal and external clients
  • Look after the relationship management of long-term clients and industry contacts and seek to build new business opportunities
  • Be both hands-on and strategic, working closely and collaboratively with museum colleagues
  • Produce costed event proposals for potential clients, negotiating terms with both clients and suppliers
