Training Innovation & Product Development Officer

This is a fixed-term contract for a duration of up to one year, which includes a training period with the potential for a full-time position upon completion of training

St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We do this through developing and providing effective community response and outreach services (e.g. Ambulance response, Falls response, Night Time Economy and Homelessness outreach) and using our longstanding expertise to empower people with vital clinical skills and the confidence to use them (e.g. our Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets and Young Responders programmes). There is also a buoyant social enterprise network which delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.

Job Summary

The Training Product Development Officer plays a critical role in enhancing St John Ambulance's training products and offerings. This role involves conducting regular reviews of existing training products, identifying opportunities for improvement, researching new training opportunities, and developing innovative learning journeys to meet customer needs and quality standards. The Product Development Officer lead cross-functional teams, and will work collaboratively to manage product development budgets, and ensure the successful implementation of training products

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you need to be Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C / 4) including Maths & English , Hold a minimum of a level 3 product design/product development or Instructional designer qualification or proven experience, experience in Project management experience, including budget management, and coordination and have Strong analytical and evaluation skills.

 

About the Role

  • Conduct regular reviews of current training products.
  • Identify and research training opportunities for customers.
  • Engage in a range of engagement events to understand customer needs and external requirements.
  • Project manage product development and innovation.
