We have a vacancy for a Data Systems Officer. This role is part of the Data Team who oversee our Incident Management Framework (IMF). This is a national role to support the high-quality operation of the Incident Management Framework (IMF) systems, ensuring the data to underpin learning and improvement is readily accessible for analysis and for action. The Data Systems Officer will ensure the processing of incidents reported through the IMF, from severity grading through to investigation timeliness and ensuring accurate recording of outcomes and learning, referring decisions to the Data, Feedback & Complaints Manager or Data Systems Team Leader.
The Data Systems Officer will provide support to the team in relation to the IMF. There will be a good understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to incidents, and you will develop relationships with clinical, health and safety and operational management to whom referrals for investigation will be made and outcomes for learning recorded.

About You:
- Previous experience of an incident management framework
- Experience of presenting basic data, analysis, and reports to a variety of audiences including senior management.
- Experience of identifying issues, concerns, or risks and escalating appropriately and in a timely basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and establish rapport with stakeholders.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English with Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, charts and formula
About the Role:
- Ensuring an effective system for recording, tracking and reporting on assurance activity, including performance and compliance with a wide range of regulatory and quality standards is maintained
- Work closely with our internal stakeholders to ensure incidents are progressed in a timely manner and any learnings are shared within the organisation
- Supporting the Data Systems Team Leader and Assurance Managers in their work with data analysis and reporting, monitoring action plans, and subsequent action progress and completion, holding those functions who do not respond in a timely manner to account
- Having oversight of the Incident Management Framework making sure that it is operated effectively in line with defined processes and policy, including accurate contemporaneous records being kept, incident severity assessed and investigation progress is monitored and escalated as appropriate, highlighting barriers to achieving this to the relevant Assurance Manager and the Data Systems Team Leader
- Actively promote quality standards, statutory and regulatory compliance and best practice, ensuring projects are delivered in line with the team’s business priorities and strategy
