A fantastic opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our busy Legal team! In this exciting, fast paced role reporting to the Head of Legal and working alongside our experienced Solicitors, the Legal Assistant is responsible for managing the workflow within the Legal Department. The successful candidate will assist in the management of the day-to-day operation, by supporting the Head of Legal and Senior Solicitors with case management, together with the preparation of legal documents including, but not limited to Commercial Contracts, Bid Documents and Tender Contracts.

About You:
- Law degree/GDL and Legal Practice Course
- Proven work experience in a legal environment as a Legal Assistant or equivalent
- Demonstrate experience in drafting and reviewing Commercial Contracts
- Familiarity with essential law, legal procedures, protocols and court system
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Property Law
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads and keep deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About the Role:
- Prepare and assist with reviewing and identifying risks in a range of legal documentation under the guidance of the Head of Legal and Senior Solicitors, including Commercial Contracts, Bid Documents and Tender Contracts
- Prepare preliminary versions of and review the organisations Commercial Contracts, assuring that all Commercial related contracts are compliant with legislation, particularly Data Protection legislation
- Monitor and manage infringements of our Trademark Licence and Intellectual Property, issuing cease and desist letters to protect the SJA brand, when required, liaising with external organisations and lawyers
- Manage all aspects of the workflow, including providing initial legal advice and supporting stakeholders within the Estates & Facilities Department by undertaking and reporting on Land Registry Searches in a timely manner
