Who should attend?
The NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals is a leading qualification for those already in a health and safety role looking to develop their skills to an advanced level.
The qualification is split into 3 units and covers health and safety regulation, managing risk, influencing culture, and hazard control.

Learning outcomes

- Assess, develop and maintain individual and organisational health and safety competence.
- Understand risk management, including the techniques for identifying hazards, risk assessment, control measures, and developing a risk management strategy.
- Develop and implement proactive and reactive health and safety monitoring systems and carry out reviews and auditing of such systems.
- Continually develop your professional skills and ethics to actively influence improvements in health and safety.
- Develop a health and safety policy strategy within your organisation (including proactive safety, Corporate Social Responsibility, and change management).
- Contribute to health and safety legal actions.
- Manage contractors and supply chains to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Advise your organisation on a range of common workplace health and safety issues/hazards.
Assessments
The NEBOSH Diploma is assessed entirely through practical activities and scenario-based questions.
Unit DI1 is assessed with a practical assignment. NEBOSH recommends you spend around 40 hours on your DI1 assignment. You will have 4 weeks (20 working days) to complete your assignment and submit it electronically.
Units DI2 and DI3 are each assessed with a case study and scenario based questions. NEBOSH recommends you spend around 20 hours on each assessment paper. You will have 2 weeks (10 working days) to complete each assessment and submit it electronically.
Duration
The course takes about 475 hours to complete, but this self-guided learning style means that learners can complete the course at their own pace. 6 months of access is provided.
Certification
Certificates will be made available from our delivery partner, Astutis, after all course activities have been completed.
