Without the support of trusts, foundations, and statutory funders, our life-saving work would not be possible.

Medical emergencies are all too common. First aid could be the difference between life and death, yet most people wouldn't know what to do in an emergency.

By working in partnership, we can create stronger, safer communities by equipping people to act when it matters most. If you’re a Trustee or Grants Manager who shares our passion, we’d love to hear from you.

With your support we can:

  • Strengthen local communities by equipping people with first aid skills at our free volunteer-led community education sessions
  • Empower young people from underserved communities with life-saving street first aid skills
  • Keep communities safe by having trained volunteers at events to help people like Richard, who received life-saving medical care when he collapsed at the London Marathon.

St John Ambulance provides development opportunities for young people, community education and first aid support across England. We work closely with our partners to ensure our interests are aligned and we can achieve significant impact for the communities we serve.

“I’m so grateful that St John Ambulance provide these free first aid courses...It’s the best thing we ever decided to do because without it my little boy would have died. That training saved my baby’s life."

- Leah, who saved her eight-month-old baby from choking.

Working with us, you can expect:

  • A dedicated relationship manager who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and support you along the way.
  • Regular updates specially tailored to you about how your support is strengthening local communities.
  • Exclusive opportunities to meet our volunteers and hear about the impact of your support first-hand.
  • Public acknowledgement, such as in our annual report and accounts, as well as other recognition opportunities tailored to your wishes.
