Responsible for developing and executing all areas of the legacy and in memoriam strategy, including the marketing programme amongst the general public and to internal audiences of St John Ambulance, you will ensure this income stream is safeguarded and increased year on year. This will be delivered using a range of techniques and direct marketing channels and working with a range of internal stakeholders to support the overarching fundraising strategy. The post holder also has responsibility for managing legacy and in memoriam income, ensuring the Legacy Case Officer delivers estates income in a timely manner, advising on restricted funds allocations, and supporting planning through detailed income forecasting.

About You: 

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) 

Holds a relevant legacy certificate/qualification in fundraising   

At least 3 years of working in an Individual Giving Function   

Experience of working on Dynamics 365, Raiser’s Edge (or similar database)  

About The Role:  

Develop and manage an annual legacy and in mem marketing programme consisting of a range of campaigns including direct mail, telemarketing, online and events within an agreed budget.  

This includes managing all internal and external relationships in the delivery of marketing and stewardship activity according to processes you’ve set out, to meet set targets and KPI’s  

Formulate and manage the annual expenditure of all legacy and in mem marketing campaigns and appeals, and contribute to the overall  legacy and in mem budget planning, working with internal finance business partners  

Oversee legacy and in mem income with responsibility for checking the accuracy of estimates made by the Legacy Case Officer, multi-year income forecasting and managing monthly and annual accruals 

Line manage the Legacy and In mem Marketing Executive and Legacy Case Officer
