St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We do this through developing and providing effective community response and outreach services (e.g. Ambulance response, Falls response and Night Time Economy) and using our longstanding expertise to empower people with vital clinical skills and the confidence to use them (e.g. our Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets and Young Responders programmes). There is also a buoyant social enterprise network which delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.
Job Summary
The role holder will be responsible for leading the Supplies sales team to achieve the revenue targets and business growth through the long term and sustainable management of high value Supplies reseller domestic and large B2B customers. They will manage the new business acquisition process, internal and external stakeholder engagement and approval procedures for the content and sign off new business opportunities. They will plan and successfully roll out new products prioritising customers as required as these come to market
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in building a result orientated culture and delivering against financial targets in a business-to-business environment
- Experience in leading, managing and developing and motivating a team
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders to develop individualised customer contact strategies, and propositions to grow revenue and margin
- Experience of working in a multi- channel and multi product operation
About the Role
- Drive a high performing, results orientated culture in the Supplies Sales Team by motivating and managing performance to act as a cohesive engaged team, delivering KPIs and financial targets
- Lead the overall Supplies Sales activity for St John providing appropriate reports to key stakeholders and escalating any issues
- Contribute to and propose pricing strategies ensuring St John is in a strong commercial and competitive position and profit margin expectations are met
- Build strong relationships with partners, both internal and external, to support the achievement of revenue and margin targets and ensure we deliver for customers
- Attend customer meetings with Supplies Sales Team to provide support and coach/mentor them to achieve higher performance
- Analyse data to produce reports to inform business development strategies and approaches. Where required produce regular updates and reports to update the business
