Venue entrance information

It can be hard to find the entrance of this venue. The entrance is on the far left. On entering Discovery Court, drive straight ahead down the hill and turn right at the bottom. Turn next right and up the ramp to the car park at the top. Please don’t use the first (most obvious) entrance on the right, because this is for Ambulance staff only.

From the West (Bakers Arms)

Follow the A35 (Bournemouth, Ringwood) avoiding Poole Town Centre. Once passed Poole continue along Dorset Way. From here turn right at the 1st roundabout and then left at the next roundabout onto Ringwood Road. At the next roundabout turn right onto Wallisdown Road. Discovery Court is on the right-hand side of the road. Entrance opposite Travis Perkins.
 

From the North (Ringwood)

Follow the A31 and then the A348 signposted to Poole. After crossing the river bridge at Longham drive straight ahead (A348) at the next two roundabouts. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit (Wallisdown Road). Discovery Court is approximately 200 metres from this roundabout on the right-hand side. Entrance opposite Travis Perkins.
 

From Bournemouth (A338 junction with Richmond Hill)

At the above junction take the Wimborne Road towards Wimborne to the traffic lights at Cemetery junction. At this junction turn left into Talbot Avenue (A347) then continue straight ahead going past Bournemouth University. At the next roundabout go straight ahead into Wallisdown Road (A3049). Continue straight ahead into the Industrial Area where Discovery Court can be found on the left opposite Travis Perkins. On entering Discovery Court drive straight ahead down the hill and turn right at the bottom. Turn next right and up the ramp to the car park at the top.
 

By Rail

The nearest railway station is Poole (3.5 miles away) or Bournemouth (6 miles away).
 

Parking

Ample parking is available only in the marked area adjacent to St John Ambulance Training Centre. Do not park elsewhere on site.

Parking Registration

There is an electronic tablet on our foyer desk in the Poole venue.

Any visitor who has a vehicle on-site must sign in their REG plate number using the tablet. This must be done every day the visitor is here. So, if it is a course longer than one day, the learner must sign in on all three mornings, each time they arrive. There is no functionality or need to sign out.

Failure to register a vehicle could result in consequences, such as a parking fine via BizSpace.

By Bus

The closest bus stop near the venue is Discovery Court served by routes 6, 6A, 14, 425, 450 and 702.
