The Role

As a volunteer DofE Leader, your mentoring and support will ensure our young people have access to the very best opportunities offered by the programme – all while having great fun! You’ll be working with Cadets from aged 14, and adult volunteers aged up to 25 years old. You’ll have the opportunity to design your own role, whether that involves running an expedition in Snowdonia with your Mountain Leader qualification – or providing ‘behind-the-scenes’ support.

Training and time commitment

The training and support we will provide for you is as follows:

• Welcome programme introducing you to the DofE team and the wider charity
• Relevant DofE leader training courses
• Training in appropriate SJA policies
• St John Safeguarding training relevant to your role
• Youth team training
• Out of pocket expenses.
