The role

The Logistics Team makes sure that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time. They provide a range of services, from preparing warehouse items for shipment, maintaining specialist equipment, moving stock around the district and helping set up temporary treatment centres for major events.

Training and time commitment

The training and support we provide is as follows:

  • Welcome programme introducing you to the project & wider charity
  • Training in appropriate SJA policies
  • St John Safeguarding training relevant to your role
  • On-the-job training with a Logistics buddy
  • Out of pocket expenses.

Expected Time Commitment

Ideally at least two shifts (of about eight hours each) a month. These hours can be volunteered flexibly if preferred (e.g. four shorter shifts).
